You’ll contribute to: 

• Ensuring accurate and effective operation of all financial accounting processes within WorkCover, including monthly, quarterly and annual ledger reconciliations and financial statement preparation. 

• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to address regulatory requirements and maintain compliance with accounting standards and legislative guidelines. 

• Leading efforts to identify and implement process improvements, driving efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations. 

• Playing a key role in supporting strategic initiatives and business plan objectives, contributing to the overall success and financial integrity of WorkCover. 

A bit about you: 

• Minimum of five years’ experience in financial or management accounting, preferably within a chartered or corporate environment 

• Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, supported by exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. 

• You possess a proactive attitude towards staying updated on new accounting standards and regulations, demonstrating a willingness to access and interpret new standards and anticipate changes for future compliance. 

• You excel in in environments that encourage continuous growth and adaptation, viewing challenges as opportunities to overcome obstacles and grow both personally and professionally.
