As a Senior Lawyer, you will contribute to the management of WorkCover’s legal panel and common law claims portfolio, including the maintenance of a legal audit and performance monitoring program, and support WorkCover’s legal risk framework by providing legal advice and support to internal stakeholders. 

What you’ll contribute to: 

• Deliver high-quality, cost-effective legal advice to support strategic decision-making. 

• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of WorkCover’s legal risk and common law frameworks. 

• Oversee and manage legal panel performance to ensure optimal outcomes. 

• Provide legal education and support across the organisation to minimise risk. 

• Lead corporate legal matters and contribute to major strategic and legislative projects. 

• Research legal trends and innovations relevant to WorkCover’s operations. 

About you: 

• Admission as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland. 

• A minimum of 5 years post-admission experience. 

• Expertise across corporate governance, contracts, litigation, insurance, and personal injuries law. 

• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the legal and financial impact of common law trends. 

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 

• A collaborative, values-aligned approach and a drive for continuous improvement.
