As Manager – Governance and Frameworks, you'll lead our Governance Group to enable the enterprise to fulfil its risk obligations and drive governance excellence. You'll enable our vision to be the best workers' compensation insurer while making a positive difference to people's lives through robust governance frameworks and risk-aware decision-making.
This role is strategic and influential, requiring deep expertise in governance frameworks and Board effectiveness from policy development through to implementation. The scope encompasses second line governance functions, Board and committee support, corporate insurance programs, and comprehensive risk management strategies that ensure compliance and integrity.
You'll serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on operational and strategic matters while fostering relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise. As the governance leader for the Risk Group, you'll drive performance through structured frameworks, expert advisory services, and comprehensive Board support.

Manage Board, Risk and Audit Committee and People Committee calendars, preparations, and paper collation

Seasoned governance professional with extensive experience in financial services, personal injury insurance, and/or legal sectors, with deep understanding of commercial, industrial, and political considerations.

Led high-performing governance teams with strong focus on policies, frameworks, and Board effectiveness, bringing structure and excellence to complex governance environments.

Essential qualifications include tertiary qualification in business, risk, law or similar discipline (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded) and current professional body membership (Risk Management Association, Risk Management Institute of Australia, or Governance Institute of Australia). Extensive experience across personal injury insurance, financial services and/or legal sectors highly desirable.
The Governance and Frameworks team sits within our Risk Group and is dedicated to enabling governance excellence for the organisation and Queenslanders.
