WorkCover Queensland is entering an exciting new chapter, with a renewed strategic focus and strong executive leadership guiding our organisation's 2030 Strategy. We're embarking on an enterprise-wide transformation that will enable us to continue making a positive difference to people's lives and keep Queenslanders working.
This initial 2-year fixed term role plays a central part in defining and implementing the people operating model, governance structures, systems and processes that will position our organisation for growth, transformation and delivery of our 2030 Strategy.
Sitting within the People & Strategy Leadership Team, you will lead a function that shapes contemporary HR processes, strengthens governance, drives digital enablement and embeds continuous improvement across all facets of the People function. You will partner closely with senior leaders, centres of excellence and HRBPs to ensure our people operating environment is efficient, compliant and strategically aligned - ultimately uplifting employee experience and organisational capability.

Key Responsibilities
- Shape and lead the enterprise People Transformation agenda, architecting the operating model, the service delivery model and long‑term maturity roadmap, ensuring clarity of purpose, seamless cross‑functional integration, and a consistent, high‑quality employee and leader experience.
- Reimagine, standardise and continuously uplift People processes, embedding simplification, automation and scalable workflows that enable efficiency, speed, and commercial discipline across the function.
- Establish and govern the People risk, assurance and compliance framework, strengthening organisational integrity, decision‑making confidence and executive visibility of enterprise-wide people‑related risks.
- Provide governance and stewardship of new and existing People systems across the operating model and service delivery framework, ensuring these platforms deliver reliable, intuitive, standardised and digitally enabled experiences for employees, leaders and stakeholders.
- Elevate the quality and influence of Committee and Board reporting, ensuring People insights, metrics and narratives drive strategic discussion, proactive risk management and informed executive decision‑making.
- Implement robust People knowledge management and governance frameworks, enabling clarity, transparency and ease of access to critical People policies, processes and insights, strengthening organisational capability and accountability.
