This is an opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Senior Infrastructure Administrator to join our team on a 12-month max-term contract. You’ll be trusted to operate with autonomy, bring sound technical judgement, and take ownership of infrastructure that underpins key business operations.
The role has a strong focus on core enterprise and legacy systems, while also giving you the chance to work with and influence workloads across Microsoft Azure and AWS. If you enjoy keeping complex environments stable, secure, and resilient, while gradually modernising and improving how things are done, this role will suit you well.
You’ll be working closely with stakeholders across technology and the business, acting as a senior technical voice and problem solver in a fastmoving but pragmatic environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of day today enterprise infrastructure operations, acting as a senior technical authority
- Supporting and optimising legacy infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance
- Working across Azure and AWS, supporting hybrid and multi-cloud environments
- Providing trusted advice on infrastructure strategy, upgrades, and operational decisions
- Designing and implementing robust infrastructure solutions, with a focus on reliability and security
- Supporting integration with third party platforms and services with a strong capability in Entra ID.
- Leading and delivering infrastructure upgrades and lifecycle improvements
- Ensuring infrastructure security, access controls, and compliance requirements are met
- Maintaining strong documentation, monitoring, and performance visibility
- Supporting disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and execution
- Collaborating with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex issues efficiently
- Acting as a senior escalation point during incidents and problem resolution
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in a senior, hands-on infrastructure role within a complex, enterprise scale organisation
- Deep technical capability across:
- Microsoft Azure/ ENTRA ID
- AWS
- Windows and Linux server management
- Active Directory and hybrid identity environments
- Microsoft 365 and core enterprise infrastructure platforms
- IAC would be a bonus
- Power Shell capability is a must have
- Service Now experience and ticket management capability is a must have
- A proven track record delivering infrastructure design, deployment, and continuous improvement
- Confidence working in environments with significant legacy technology, alongside modern cloud platforms
- Strong planning, prioritisation, and decision-making skills
- The ability to work autonomously, take accountability, and see work through end-to-end, while still maintaining an ability to integrate and collaborate in a small team
- Clear, professional communication skills and comfort engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
- A practical, collaborative approach with a strong service mindset
- Availability to participate in occasional on call support
