WorkCover Queensland is entering an exciting new chapter, guided by a renewed strategic focus and strong executive leadership shaping our 2030 Strategy. We’re embarking on an enterprise-wide transformation to strengthen our impact and continue making a positive difference in people’s lives.
What You’ll Do
The role is involved in all phases of end‑to‑end employee experience delivery, from discovery, problem definition, and insight analysis through to experience design, facilitation, implementation, and evaluation. This includes designing and delivering leadership programs and leader induction, facilitating workshops and learning experiences, creating and running employee listening initiatives, and translating insights into practical improvements. The role works closely with senior leaders, confidently articulating recommendations and design decisions through clear executive and board‑level communication.
What We’re Looking For
The Senior Employee Experience Specialist is a people‑focused facilitator and trusted partner, whose purpose is to create clarity, alignment, and momentum across leadership, culture, and employee experience initiatives. They act as a conduit between insight and action, building strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders to ensure experiences are well‑designed, well‑facilitated, and meaningfully embedded.
The ideal candidate believes that continuous collaboration with leaders and teams is essential to understanding context, uncovering the real problems to solve, and shaping solutions that are desirable, feasible, and sustainable. They can clearly articulate the “why” behind their design decisions, communicate effectively at executive and board level, and apply sound judgement to balance ambition with practicality while delivering high‑quality outcomes.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong professional judgement and the ability to balance strategic experience design with practical, embedded delivery.
- Confidence managing complex priorities, navigating trade‑offs in time, resources, and stakeholder expectations to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
- Data and insight led decision‑making capability, using diagnostics, feedback, and analytics to guide design choices and drive continuous improvement.
- Commercial and operational acumen, including experience partnering with vendors to ensure solutions deliver value and align with organisational context.
- Contemporary expertise in employee experience, organisational development, and leadership practices, underpinned by relevant qualifications or certifications.
