The Opportunity  

Join WorkCover Queensland as our Senior Psychosocial Safety & Wellbeing Specialist and play a pivotal role in strengthening psychosocial risk maturity across the organisation. Working in a high-profile specialist position, you'll partner with leaders to identify, assess and govern complex psychosocial risks, ensuring compliance with legislation while embedding practical, sustainable risk management approaches across the business. From customer aggression and vicarious trauma through to change impacts and cognitive demands, you'll provide trusted advice on some of the organisation's most significant and sensitive risk areas. 

This is a strategic role with enterprise-wide influence, combining psychosocial risk governance, mental health strategy, organisational capability uplift and senior stakeholder coaching. You'll analyse organisational data and emerging trends, lead psychosocial risk assessments, support responses to complex psychological injury matters, and help shape the future direction of psychological health and wellbeing at WorkCover Queensland. 

About You  

You're an experienced psychosocial risk, organisational risk, organisational psychology or WHS professional with a proven track record of improving psychosocial maturity in complex, office-based environments. You understand how to identify and assess psychosocial hazards, apply risk methodologies and governance frameworks, and influence leaders to embed effective controls within their teams. Your expertise is supported by strong knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and contemporary psychosocial risk management principles. 

Equally comfortable operating strategically and providing specialist advice on sensitive matters, you're a skilled coach, negotiator and relationship builder who can challenge and influence at all levels. Experience supporting organisational change, enterprise capability uplift, complex psychological injury matters or mental health initiatives will be highly regarded, as will a desire to step into a future leadership pathway and contribute to the ongoing development of the team.
