WorkCover Queensland is entering an exciting new chapter, guided by a renewed strategic focus and strong executive leadership shaping our 2030 Strategy. We’re embarking on an enterprise-wide transformation to strengthen our impact and continue making a positive difference in people’s lives.

The Opportunity

Join WorkCover Queensland in a pivotal governance role where you'll work closely with senior leaders, executives, Board members and committees to support effective decision-making and organisational governance.

As Lead Organisational Governance, you'll oversee WorkCover's policy governance framework, coordinate key governance activities and provide trusted advice that helps ensure governance practices are practical, consistent and effective across the organisation. From supporting Board and Committee processes to maintaining governance frameworks and driving ongoing improvements, you'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact across the business.

This role offers a unique blend of policy governance, Board and Committee support, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, influence and working at the centre of organisational decision-making.

About You

You're a governance professional who thrives on bringing structure, clarity and rigour to complex environments.

You have experience in governance, policy, risk, compliance or a similar discipline and are confident working with senior stakeholders, including executives and Boards. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you're skilled at managing competing priorities while producing high-quality work and building trusted relationships.

You'll bring strengths in policy governance, stakeholder engagement and governance coordination, along with the ability to translate governance requirements into practical solutions that support business outcomes.

Most importantly, you're someone who enjoys taking ownership, exercising sound judgement and helping an organisation strengthen the way it operates. If you don't meet every requirement but can demonstrate strong transferable experience, we'd still love to hear from you.
