WorkCover Queensland is entering an exciting new chapter, guided by a renewed strategic focus and strong executive leadership shaping our 2030 Strategy. We’re embarking on an enterprise-wide transformation to strengthen our impact and continue making a positive difference in people’s lives.
The Opportunity
As Manager Privacy, you'll coordinate WorkCover's Privacy function to deliver industry-leading best practice and ensure compliance with privacy obligations across the organisation. You'll lead the privacy governance framework, providing expert advice on complex privacy matters and driving a privacy-first culture through proactive risk management, continuous improvement and practical business guidance.
You'll play a pivotal role in building, refining and embedding privacy frameworks, policies and processes that support regulatory compliance and industry standards. Working across the business, you'll assess and mitigate privacy risks, manage relationships with regulators, and act as the central point of contact for privacy matters.
You'll also lead the Information Release Team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on timely, accurate and compliant information access and release outcomes.
About You
You're an experienced privacy, compliance, governance or legal leader with a strong track record of interpreting complex legislation and translating it into practical business outcomes. You thrive in highly regulated environments and are passionate about fostering a high-performance culture focused on proactive risk management and alignment with organisational objectives.
You bring exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, enabling you to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes across all levels of an organisation, including executives, regulators and external agencies. Combining strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach, you're confident leading complex privacy matters, driving continuous improvement and providing expert guidance that supports sound decision-making and regulatory compliance.
