The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career professional with 2+ years’ experience who is driven, curious and ready to step up. You’ll be supported and guided by an experienced team, while also having the opportunity to take ownership, build your skills, and gain valuable exposure working with and presenting to stakeholders.

Working within the Business Insights and Actuarial team, this hands-on role partners with actuarial and business stakeholders to develop reporting, analyse claims trends, build data-driven tools and translate complex data into presentable, actionable insights that inform executive and Board decision-making.

  • Provide data-driven analysis for Board reporting, business performance monitoring and claims cost insights
  • Develop data visualisations and reporting outputs to communicate trends and key metrics clearly
  • Develop and maintain Power BI monitoring tools
  • Support actuarial and business deliverables through data analysis and reporting
  • Utilise data to produce meaningful insights for senior stakeholders to support strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to presentations and reporting outputs

About You

  • Degree qualification in Statistics, Actuarial, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Ability to translate and manipulate complex data into clear insights and visualisations
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python or R
  • Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
  • Self-motivated with a curious mindset and desire to continuously improve
  • Experience in workers compensation, general insurance, claims or financial services highly regarded.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on high-quality, accurate outputs
