Reporting to the General Manager Procurement and Partners, you'll lead WorkCover's procurement governance function — ensuring our policies, processes and frameworks are current, compliant and continuously improving. This role carries real breadth, spanning governance, assurance, data and analytics, and the adoption of digital and AI-enabled solutions to lift procurement outcomes across the organisation.

• Lead the design, implementation and ongoing refinement of procurement frameworks, policies, procedures, templates and guidance materials aligned to the Queensland Procurement Policy and whole-of-government obligations
• Provide strategic advice to Executive and Procurement Leadership on procurement risk, compliance, policy direction and best-practice operating models
• Oversee procurement assurance activities including audits, reporting, issue management and adherence monitoring across procurement, contract management and payment processes
• Drive innovation initiatives, including the adoption of digital, data and AI-enabled solutions to enhance procurement performance and decision-making
• Build procurement capability across WorkCover through training, coaching and specialist technical advice to practitioners and stakeholders
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, managing workload, performance oversight and capability growth in line with WorkCover's People Frameworks

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated experience leading a procurement governance, compliance or assurance function within a complex regulated environment
• Sound working knowledge of the Queensland Procurement Policy or equivalent government procurement legislation and frameworks
• Proven ability to provide strategic advice and influence at Executive level on governance, risk and procurement policy matters
• Experience designing and implementing procurement frameworks, policies and assurance mechanisms
• Exposure to data, analytics or digital innovation within a procurement or contract management context
• Demonstrated people leadership capability, including coaching, performance management and capability development
