WorkCover Queensland is entering an exciting new chapter, guided by a renewed strategic focus and strong executive leadership shaping our 2030 Strategy. We’re embarking on an enterprise-wide transformation to strengthen our impact and continue making a positive difference in people’s lives.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Stakeholder Engagement, this is a high-impact opportunity to shape and embed provider quality assurance (QA) across WorkCover Queensland. As the Provider Quality Assurance Specialist, you will help to design, build and operationalise a contemporary QA program across our provider network and panels ensuring services consistently meet professional, regulatory and performance standards.
Working as an individual contributor within a high-performing and collaborative team, you will lead end-to-end assurance activities, from conducting detailed provider reviews to delivering clear, evidence-based feedback to providers and internal stakeholders. This role is data-driven and plays a key part in lifting provider performance, strengthening governance, and delivering better outcomes for our customers.
You will partner closely with Senior Specialists and contract management function to provide tangible, real-time insights on service delivery, influence provider performance, and support WorkCover’s 2030 strategy. This is an evolving role where you will have the autonomy to innovate, think differently, and directly contribute to continuous improvement and transformation across our provider network.
About You
You are a quality assurance professional with strong analytical capability and a passion for improving service delivery outcomes. You bring experience implementing or operating QA frameworks, ideally within regulated or provider-based environments, and are confident navigating complex clinical, contractual and policy settings.
You are comfortable applying a robust, evidence-based approach and delivering clear, constructive feedback to stakeholders, including provider leadership. You thrive in an autonomous role, managing your workload effectively, prioritising competing demands and contributing fresh ideas to drive continuous improvement.
To succeed, you will demonstrate:
- Strong experience in quality assurance, audit, compliance or provider performance
- Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret claims, treatment and performance data
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
- Sound knowledge of governance, risk and regulatory requirements (workers’ compensation experience highly regarded)
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
You’ll enjoy working in a small, driven and collaborative team, where you can influence outcomes, build capability across the business, and make a genuine difference to the quality of service delivered to Queenslanders.
