What You’ll Do 

The Enterprise Portfolio Governance Manager plays a key role in the design, application and assurance of the organisation’s portfolio governance framework. The role provides expert advice to senior leaders, sponsors and delivery teams to ensure portfolio initiatives are initiated, governed and progressed in alignment with strategic priorities and enterprise governance requirements. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Design, maintain and continuously improve the enterprise portfolio governance framework to support strategic and investment outcomes. 

  • Provide trusted governance advice and assurance to senior leaders, sponsors and delivery teams across the portfolio. 

  • Lead portfolio intake, assessment and prioritisation to inform investment and funding decisions. 

  • Conduct independent stagegate reviews to assess initiative readiness, value and strategic alignment. 

  • Enable executive and Portfolio Governance Committee decisionmaking through clear, riskinformed insights and recommendations. 

  • Identify and oversee portfoliolevel governance risks, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk, assurance and financial frameworks. 

  • Drive continuous improvement in governance practices and uplift organisational governance maturity. 

 

What You’ll Bring  

  • Tertiary qualification in business, management, finance, economics, strategy or related discipline, or equivalent senior-level experience.  

  • Extensive experience operating in portfolio governance, investment management or portfolio management roles within large, complex organisations. 

  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and embedding enterprise-wide portfolio governance frameworks, policies and decision-making models. 

  • Proven experience advising executives and portfolio governance committees on prioritisation, gating, funding and portfolio trade-off decisions. 

  • Experience supporting large-scale change and transformation environments is highly desirable.
