Work type: Permanent - Full Time
Location: Brisbane CBD
Categories: Other, New Claims Group - Claims Assessment

WorkCover Queensland is entering an exciting new chapter, guided by a renewed strategic focus and strong executive leadership shaping our 2030 Strategy. As part of this transformation, we're building a fresh, modern Capability function and introducing newly created roles that will redefine contemporary learning, coaching, and capability uplift across our Claims division.

We’re seeking an organised, proactive team player who thrives in a fast‑paced environment where no two days look the same. This is a fantastic Claims Recruitment & Learning Administrator opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build strong business acumen, gain exposure across the entire Claims division, and play a key role in supporting our recruitment, onboarding, and learning activities.

You’ll be at the centre of our operations — coordinating people, information, schedules, and events — and helping us create a seamless experience for new starters and existing team members. If you’re adaptable, curious, and excited by variety, this role offers a meaningful way to contribute to our transformation while developing valuable skills for your future career.

What You’ll Do

  • Schedule recruitment activities based on input from the Workforce Management team and the central Talent Acquisition team.
  • Manage new starter administration for the core Claims group (laptops, security passes, system access etc.)
  • Schedule learning activities based on input from Workforce Management and Claims Capability Design Lead including booking rooms, organising catering and issuing invitations to participants.
  • Contribute to creating a culture of proactive continuous improvement within the Claims Capability team, seeking ways to enhance processes and deliver better outcomes.
  • Provide administrative support across the broader Claims Enablement team as required.
  • Perform any other activities as required by the Claims Capability Design Lead to deliver BAU outcomes and/or continuous improvement initiatives, relative to the role.

What We’re Looking For

You’re someone with a mature mindset, strong attention to detail, and a natural ability to stay organised even when juggling competing priorities. You take initiative, communicate clearly, and know when to ask questions versus when to run with a task. You enjoy supporting others, building relationships, and keeping things moving behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly. Most importantly, you bring energy, professionalism, and a willingness to learn — the kind of person who can confidently coordinate activities across the division and contribute to a positive, solutions‑focused team culture.

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in business administration are highly regarded.
  • Experience in scheduling and record management highly regarded.
  • Experience in a worker’s compensation, insurance, training  services industry desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
