We’re embarking on an enterprise‑wide transformation designed to strengthen our impact and continue making a positive difference in people’s lives.

As part of this evolution, we are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Employer Governance and Reporting to join our Employer Group Leadership Team, reporting directly to the General Manager Employer. This newly created role offers the rare opportunity to design, establish and lead a contemporary governance, reporting and data function—creating the structures, insights and frameworks that directly support proactive employer engagement, improve claims performance and enhance scheme sustainability.

If you are outcomes‑driven, highly skilled in governance and reporting frameworks, passionate about stakeholder relationships and excited by the opportunity to build a function from the ground up, this is a rare and influential leadership opportunity to help shape WorkCover’s future.

  • Partner with Technology to uplift systems, integrations and data quality.
  • Set the employer account management strategy, segmentation model and supporting frameworks.
  • Strengthen alignment between employer governance, reporting functions and the claims group.
  • Build and lead a high‑performing team, fostering a safe, inclusive and values‑aligned culture.
  • Implement an effective resourcing model and drive development of critical skills through coaching, mentoring and targeted training.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement focused on process optimisation and superior outcomes.
  • Oversee timely, accurate and insightful reporting for key stakeholders.
  • Develop trusted relationships across the enterprise and with external partners to support BAU, improvement initiatives and transformation.
  • Manage financial performance, ensuring delivery within budget and scope.

What We're Looking For

You are a seasoned leader with strong experience establishing new functions not just through systems and frameworks, but by partnering closely with stakeholders and shaping a collective approach to governance, reporting and data. You excel at creating alignment, fostering trust and delivering outcomes through collaboration.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong judgement and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments with competing interests.
  • Experience shaping governance, reporting or data capabilities within complex or multi‑stakeholder organisations.
  • Ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders around shared goals, priorities and strategic direction.
  • Experience defining and governing enterprise‑wide operational or financial frameworks with commercial rigour.
  • High‑level analytical capability, with the ability to translate data and trends into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Confidence working with senior leaders, providing strategic advice on performance, risks and emerging issues.
  • Strong understanding of organisational risk frameworks and the ability to proactively identify, assess and mitigate risk.
  • Proven capability operating in environments undergoing transformation, with the ability to bring structure to ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to foster trust and collaboration across the business.
  • Experience managing external partners and ensuring transparent, ethical and commercially sound arrangements.
