About the Opportunity: Senior Specialist, Knowledge Services [12-Month Maximum Term Contract]

Reporting to the Manager Knowledge Services, these newly created Senior Specialist Knowledge Services roles are hands-on and responsible for building, configuring, and managing WorkCover’s enterprise knowledge function. You will author and maintain content in the Knowledge Management Platform, translating technical, operational, and business information into clear, accessible guidance for all audiences. Applying the Knowledge Management Framework, you will manage the full lifecycle of content, from creation and review through compliance approvals to ongoing maintenance, ensuring all knowledge meets organisational standards.

Collaborating with and guiding stakeholders across Claims, Learning Development, Technology, Legal, and Risk teams, you will configure the system, manage content work packages, retire legacy knowledge assets, and monitor delivery to meet business needs. By embedding governance, continuous improvement, and user-focused design, you will enhance content structure, usability, and accessibility, enabling our people to access the right information at the right time and support confident, compliant decision-making and better outcomes for customers.

A bit about you:

You’re a hands-on knowledge specialist with strong technical writing skills and a passion for turning complex information into clear, actionable guidance. You enjoy working across multiple domains, collaborating with stakeholders to create knowledge content that is accurate, accessible, and aligned with organisational standards. You bring:

  • Proven experience developing and maintaining operational and enterprise knowledge content in complex, highly regulated environments.
  • Skilled at producing clear, concise, user-focused guidance that enables diverse audiences to understand and apply information consistently, supporting confident decision-making.
  • Expertise in applying knowledge management frameworks, governance, and compliance standards, including managing content throughout its lifecycle.
  • Advanced proficiency with knowledge management systems, digital workflows, and reporting tools to deliver high-quality content and support continuous improvement.
  • Experience configuring and optimising knowledge platforms, managing content work packages, and retiring legacy assets to maintain a reliable enterprise knowledge base.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, partnering with subject matter experts and operational teams to guide content development and ensure organisational alignment.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities, balancing priorities and mitigating risks to support governance and operational decision-making.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Legal, Business, Communications, Journalism) or equivalent professional experience.
