We’re seeking a passionate Specialist People Advisor to join our newly created People Services and Advisory hub. You’ll provide trusted HR advice, operational support, and case management to leaders and employees across all levels — helping drive effective people practices while fostering an inclusive, high-performing workplace.

Reporting to the Manager People Services and Advisory, you’ll partner with leaders to navigate employee relations matters, ensure consistent application of HR policies and industrial instruments, and support fair, people-centred outcomes. This hands-on advisory role balances day-to-day operational support with proactive problem-solving, strengthening people management capability and contributing to a positive workplace culture during our transformation.

  • Manage tier 1–4 HR queries, ensuring timely, fair, and compliant resolution of workplace issues.
  • Case manage and, if required, conduct investigations to provide recommendations on workplace grievances, misconduct, and other employee matters in accordance with organisational policy and legislative requirements.
  • Provide advice and guidance to leaders on the interpretation and application of HR policies, procedures, and industrial instruments.
  • Partner with Talent Advisors and managers to implement recruitment strategies and support workforce planning, ensuring compliance with HR policies and employment legislation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of operational HR initiatives that enhance workforce capability, engagement, and compliance.
  • Support managers in the successful operationalisation of all employee lifecycle events.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and systems to ensure data integrity and reporting capability.
  • Assist in the onboarding, induction, and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.
  • Support the monitoring and reporting of HR metrics, identifying trends in workforce performance, absence, and engagement to inform organisational decisions.

About You

You’re an experienced and trusted HR professional who thrives in a dynamic, people-focused environment. You enjoy solving complex workplace issues, building strong relationships, and influencing positive outcomes through collaboration and sound advice.

Whether guiding managers through sensitive issues, conducting investigations, or supporting teams and leaders during organisational transformation, you bring integrity, empathy, and practical judgment to every challenge.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years experience in generalist HR advisory roles within complex or regulated environments.
  • High-level knowledge and practical application of employment law, industrial instruments, and HR policies.
  • Proven capability in case management, workplace investigations, and handling confidential matters.
  • Ability to assess complex workplace issues, analyse options, and provide clear, actionable advice.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills to influence managers and employees effectively.
  • Sound judgement in balancing operational HR objectives with organisational risk and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations, performance, absence management, and disciplinary processes.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or Psychology (desirable).
  • Workplace investigations training and familiarity with Hay job evaluation methodology (desirable).
