At WorkCover Queensland, we’re dedicated to keeping Queenslanders working. As a Quality Engineering Lead, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping and driving our quality engineering strategy, ensuring our systems and solutions are cutting-edge, scalable, and meet the highest standards. 

About the Role: 

As a Quality Engineering Lead, you will: 

• Define and implement a quality-first mindset across teams 

• Champion automation, performance engineering, and continuous testing 

• Collaborate with leaders & stakeholders across the organisation to align quality practices with business objectives 

• Develop a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and talent development 

• Ensure cutting-edge testing frameworks and tools are in place to support automated CI/CD pipelines 

• Partner with Cyber Security to incorporate risk mitigation controls into our quality processes 

A bit about you: 

• 8+ years of experience in software/quality engineering in enterprise environments 

• 5+ years of leadership experience, mentoring and developing teams 

• Expertise in agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) 

• Strong background in test automation (ideally in Playwright) and performance engineering 

• Hands-on experience with cloud, mobile, and SaaS testing frameworks 

• Passion for driving continuous improvement and innovation
