About the Role

As Head of Architecture, you will play a pivotal role within Digital and Technology, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. You will be responsible for defining and executing the architectural vision and strategy, ensuring our technology landscape evolves in alignment with business objectives and transformation goals.

Leading a team of architects, you will drive innovation, modernisation, and operational excellence, overseeing the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and future-ready systems. Your expertise will help shape the organisation’s technological direction, ensuring seamless integration, efficiency, and resilience across all platforms.

You'll contribute to a diverse range of accountabilities including but not limited to: 

  • Shaping and driving the enterprise and solution architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and digital transformation goals.
  • Leading and mentoring a high-performing architecture team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Enhancing technology capabilities, modernising systems, and ensuring seamless integration across platforms to support business agility.
  • Collaborating with senior executives and cross-functional teams, influencing strategic technology business decisions, balancing risk and manging technical debt.

A bit about you:

  • Experienced strategic leader in enterprise and solution architecture, having successfully led and delivered innovative, scalable solutions while balancing long-term vision with practical execution in a rapidly evolving landscape.
  • Proven leader, experienced in driving change, managing teams, and influencing stakeholders across an organisation.
  • Proven ability to lead technical architecture strategy and execution, with deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and the design of scalable, enterprise-grade systems.
  • Exceptional communicator with the ability to engage and influence executives, technical teams, and business leaders—translating complex architectural strategies into clear, actionable outcomes that drive business success.
  • Strategic problem solver with a proven ability to identify risks and opportunities, leading the development and execution of innovative, scalable solutions that drive operational efficiency, mitigate risks, and ensure long-term, future-ready value.
