The ServiceNow Administrator is responsible for providing day to day operational support and development of the ServiceNow platform. You will undertake design, development, and delivery of ongoing support for applications and customisations in the ServiceNow Platform, this includes data integrations, management, and quality. The ServiceNow Administrator helps build out platform capabilities aligned to the strategic objectives and future capability roadmaps to help deliver to the broader future of enterprise service management at WorkCover Queensland. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for solving technical escalations, including resolution of defects and running process workshops with key internal stakeholders to identify and address areas for uplift. 

  • Provide specialist administration, support, maintenance and guidance of ServiceNow platform and associated applications. 

  • Plan, prioritise, develop, build, deploy and maintain catalog items and associated flows/workflows as required. 

  • Produce documentation which displays critical thinking to support risk and architecture lead platform decisions. 

  • Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications and identify recommendations to improve the performance of the application. 

  • Manage and maintain ServiceNow MID Server Infrastructure across on premise and AWS cloud environments. 

  • Develop and maintain systems integrations and process automations in alignment with platform governance policies. 

  • Responsible for upgrade planning and execution across applications and platform as required in collaboration with ServiceNow partners. 

  • Identify and deliver training opportunities and provide platform training as required to the business to ensure the correct usage and understanding of the platform. 

  • Work collaboratively with the ServiceNow team to maintain awareness of cyber security and work with the Cyber and Information Security Team to strengthen instance security posture. 

 

Skills and Experience: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field. 

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (essential) and Certified Implementation Specialist: ITSM (essential). 

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in ServiceNow administration or development. 

  • Strong knowledge of ITIL, Agile, and DevOps practices. 

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, GLIDE Scripting, and ServiceNow platform capabilities. 

  • Experience with incident, change, problem, request, CMDB, and knowledge management applications. 

  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work autonomously, and deliver within set timelines.
