What You’ll Do
- Lead the Claims Capability Design team to deliver contemporary, adult focused learning experiences that builds the capability of customer facing personal injury claims staff.
- Develop trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the successful delivery of business-as-usual outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the Manager Claims Capability to work with key stakeholders to set the overarching strategy, propositions and priorities for the Claims Capability team.
- Oversee Claims Capability collaboration with the enterprise Learning & Development (L&D) team in and participate in relevant communities of practice to drive the consistent application of contemporary L&D standards
- Oversee design, development, implementation and maintenance of relevant Claims Capability frameworks, ensuring alignment with the enterprise capability framework.
- Oversee the identification of systemic capability gaps across customer facing claims teams, collaborating with key stakeholders
- Champion modern learning methodologies and innovative delivery approaches
- Design and deliver workshops and work with focus groups to elicit insights, and build desire for behavioural change.
- Manage the day-to-day team workload and scheduling to ensure consistent delivery against customer expectations.

- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of new team members
- Provide relevant updates, insights, and support to leadership including backfill for the Manager Claims Capability

You’re energised by complexity, skilled at simplifying it, and passionate about building capability that lifts performance, culture, and customer outcomes. Most importantly, you lead with curiosity, courage, and a genuine commitment to helping people grow.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of 7 years' experience building effective capability solutions that have delivered tangible, measurable business outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience effectively managing competing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience building trusted, collaborative relationships with peers and other stakeholders.
- Experience in capability frameworks, including mapping skills and knowledge to qualification levels is an advantage
- Background in insurance, personal injury, or another regulated, customer facing environment is an advantage
- Experience effectively leading a team of learning professionals highly regarded.
- Training qualification in adult education - Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent mandatory).
- Tertiary qualification in business or similar discipline.
- Additional study in learning design, digital learning, or capability development is a strong advantage.
